Laminam / porcelain stoneware doors
Let us recall the performance of this extraordinary material, which is totally eco-friendly and recyclable (made by a wet milling process using quarry clays, granite rocks and ceramic pigments, which are then subjected to hybrid firing in an electric oven):
- Resistant to stains, organic and inorganic solvents, disinfectants and detergents.
- Being made from inert materials, it resists fire and high temperatures.
- It is not photosensitive and is not affected by climatic stress.
- It resists scratching and abrasion even when in contact with metal tools.
Cleaning and maintenance are absolutely simple, but it is worth remembering that the quicker you act, the easier it is to remove a stain. And it should be taken in consideration that hydrofluoric acid is the only substance that can damage the product.
For daily cleaning of Laminam slabs, use warm water and, if necessary, neutral detergents (e.g. soap or surface cleaners), using a soft cloth or sponge and taking care to rinse with plenty of water and dry the surface with soft cloths or absorbent paper. In order to avoid the formation of a matt patina, it is advisable not to use products containing wax. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sponges.
To remove particularly stubborn stains or residues on the surface of Laminam, we recommend an initial cleaning with warm water and neutral detergent. If this is not sufficient, use more effective cleaning techniques using specific products, depending on the stain to be treated, such as:
- Non-abrasive pH-neutral detergents.
- Slightly abrasive detergents.
- Acid (e.g. lime scale remover) or basic (e.g. bleach) detergents.
- Solvent-based detergents (e.g. acetone).
Then rinse with water and dry
Use a wooden or plastic scraper to remove any dried-on material residue such as chewing gum. Then continue with a neutral detergent using soft sponges or cloths.
In cases where the top is stained with inks and markers, react promptly by cleaning the area with appropriate detergents such as: Diluente Nitro, Trielina, Acquaragia or other commercially available solvent-based cleaners. Avoid spreading the stain over the entire surface. At the end, rinse with water and dry.
