Lacquered doors
Lacquered doors are precious, refined, versatile in creating furnishing solutions, but also require appropriate attention to protect them from scratches, dirt accumulation and marks caused by time and careless maintenance.
The lacquered door is photosensitive, like the wooden door, to prevent colour variations and limit the direct exposure of the elements to sunlight.
How to clean
- Use a soft cloth to remove dust.
- Use a soft microfibre or buckskin cloth and lukewarm water, preferably low-lime water or in combination with specific lacquer products.
- Alcohol: use for stains only if very diluted in lukewarm water and only for cleaning glossy lacquered doors (NO matt). If not used properly, it can leave indelible marks.
- For persistent or encrusted dirt, the careful and moderate use of diluted alcohol (only on glossy lacquered doors) or specific products without ammonia is allowed.
- In any case, we recommend the immediate removal of dirt, especially grease, oil and splashes: the immediate cleaning of freshly deposited residues with a clean, soft cloth and warm water is the best guarantee of cleanliness and integrity of the surface.
- Do not use abrasive sponges such as steel wool pads or aggressive detergents, nor acidic or corrosive products such as ammonia, bleach or limescale removers.
- Rinse and dry the surfaces immediately, avoiding air drying. Please note that the cloth must not contain any traces of detergent.
