What to avoid
- Never treat the surface with abrasive substances, macro-abrasive sponges, sandpaper or steel wool.
- No acidic substances and very alkaline products including bleaching products or products with a high chlorine content.
- No products normally used for furniture polishing (wax or oil based).
- No metal scrapers, iron brushes to remove encrusted stains.
How to clean
- Use a soft cloth for dust removal.
- Obviously we recommend regular, routine cleaning in order to avoid encrusted residues that would require more aggressive removal.
- To maintain the beauty and incredible technical qualities of Fenix, a cloth dampened with warm water or a mild detergent including normal household disinfectants is sufficient.
- If solvents are used, the application cloth must be clean to avoid leaving marks and haloes.
- It is recommended to work on old, hardened residues with a magic sponge or a soft micro-fibre cloth.
- Rinse after each treatment with detergents or solvents with a clean cloth and lukewarm water.
Surface micro-scratches
One of the technical features of Fenix is its thermal repairability, thanks to which, by using an iron and a damp towel/cloth, it is possible to regenerate portions of the surface from any surface micro-scratches. Clearly, this operation is not a solution if the structure of the material is irreparably damaged.
